With an opportunity to progress my career, and pursue my passion for travel, I accepted a management position with Evergreen Cruises & Tours. As the Senior Graphic Designer, the role included overseeing the design workflow, managing another Graphic Designer and collaborating with the Marketing, Product and Trade Teams.

A fresh start
New beginnings, more often than not, are filled with excitement and trepidation. As I began my new adventure, Evergreen Cruises & Tours was also going through their own change with a company rebrand. This was a great opportunity to help with the revamp and add freshness, excitement and creativity to the brand. The design overhaul included marketing collateral such as brochures, press ads, stationery, magazines, flyers, direct mailers, invites and digital assets.
Working in a Studio
After a couple of years working with Evergreen Cruises & Tours, a company restructure saw a merge between my team and the Scenic Tours design team forming the Scenic Design Studio. This created a new environment, working with a larger design team and gaining exposure to other brands in the Scenic Group, such as Scenic, Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Waterways.

Collaborating with the Digital Marketing Team also formed part of my role – supplying them with digital assets such as imagery, display ads, web and eDM banners, and eBooks.
Promotional publication
Working with the General Manager of Evergreen Cruises & Tours, we wanted to create a coffee table book to help promote a new luxury yacht called Emerald Azzurra. The publication was a compilation of picturesque destinations, imagery showcasing the luxury yacht and inspirational travel quotes.
Creating an identity
This project was to create a logo for the Scenic Group, the overarching brand for the various brands that form the group, such as Scenic Tours and Emerald Cruises. I took elements from all the different brands and combined them to create the Scenic Group icon and logo type.
